Applications Engineer II

 

R. Stahl, Inc is acknowledged as the world’s foremost innovator in explosion protected components and systems.  It is due to extensive growth that we are looking for an Applications Engineer II.  This position will report to the Engineering Supervisor with accountability for the following responsibilities;

 

Design and develop electrical/mechanical control, power and distribution panels and systems for hazardous (classified) locations.  Suggest and present technical solutions and/or alternatives to key customer issues and prepares quotations and appropriate documentation.  Act as technical project manager for customer customization and integrations.  Provide technical assistance and service for customers, sales, and production.  Participate in cycle of request for quotation and/or inquiry.  Direct assembly and modification for special design as well as standard products and assist with technical training.

 

Successful candidates will have a 4 year degree in engineering or related field,  3-4 years of experience in a client responsive technical environment required.  We also require proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and MS Office and the ability to read design specifications and technical drawings.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, a proven ability to operate under pressure, a strong commitment to the performance of quality work, a disciplined work ethic and a positive attitude will complete our qualifications.  Travel less than 10%.
