Applications Engineer - Material Handling Systems Leading provider of automated material handling solutions, supplying  leading-edge technologies an immediate opening for anApplications Engineer to join their Systems Applications team. 

Job Responsibilities: This position is immediately available for a self-motivated individual capable of performing activities that contribute to the team effort.  The person selected will be involved in all aspects of the Systems Applications Group with a focus on generating concepts during the Pre-Order phase of major systems.  This position will primarily operate around the following functions:  Analyzing customer supplied production data; determining system operation and functionality requirements; concepting and developing conveyor and equipment layout solutions; and generating proposals as well as assisting in the preparation of estimates for major systems.  Communication will be a key skill.  The successful candidate will be responsible for professionally representing the company in the presence of contractors and/or customers and presentations related to major systems.  They will also require a philosophy that quick and accurate responsiveness to customers is essential to succeeding in today’s marketplace.

 

Requirements:

 

Must have 5 to 10 years of Material Handling Experience

 

Have a good working knowledge of material handling related equipment such as Palletizers, Sorters, Case and Pallet Conveyors, Verticals, Packers, Sealers, Stretch Wrappers, etc. 

 

Skilled in computer-based drafting/design (Auto CAD 2004) for system layouts

 

Knowledgeable of Personal Computers and frequently used business programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

 

Strong communication skills to review concepts and pricing with all levels of management, sales and customers

 

A desire to engage in innovative concepting and problem resolution

 

Educational Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
