Asbestos Property Inspector-Environmental Scientist

Primary responsibilities will be to assist with the Troy asbestos property evaluations (TAPE inspections in Troy, Montana.  Property inspections will include the collection of soil and dust samples, detailed field logbook entries and sketches, good communications with property owners and public, and compliance with the site health and safety plan.  Sites may be contaminated with asbestos or other solid wastes.

No formal experience required.  Field work with environmental consulting would be a plus.

Valid Montana Driver’s license required.  Ability to conduct field soil and dust sampling, including maneuvering in crawl spaces; moderate lifting and carrying tools and ladders (up to 25 pounds); good record keeping and site sketching skills, and good verbal communication skills.

Current OSHA HAZWOPER certification required.  High school diploma required.  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree would be a plus.
