Assistant/Associate Director, MIT Sloan Annual Fund

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, SLOAN ANNUAL FUND, Sloan School of Management, to manage key aspects of the MIT Sloan Annual Fund, including acknowledging donors, donor identification and cultivation, direct mail and other solicitations, and special development projects. Will work with and receive direction from director of MIT Sloan Annual and Reunion Giving; maintain relationships with the MIT Alumni Association and Resource Development to ensure proper communication and coordination between MIT and MIT Sloan; manage all aspects of annual direct mail appeals including writing and editing at least two animated Flash solicitations, selecting donor population, maintaining relationships with vendors, and analyzing fund-raising data results; conceptualize and produce yearly MIT Sloan Annual Fund brochure, overseeing entirety of project and maintaining relationships with all internal and external stakeholders; oversee content of MIT Sloan web pages that include the Annual Fund to ensure that it is represented by updated information and a positive presence; oversee Sloan gift tracking system including collection of data, analyzing, reporting, and problem resolution in order to assure that quarterly goals are met; and update solicitation plan as necessary to ensure yearly fund-raising goal attainment.

REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree and several years of relevant work experience, ability to work independently, and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. The ability to develop strategy, set priorities, manage multiple projects, and function with minimal supervision are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required. Background in fund-raising in a university or educational environment preferred. Familiarity with business school constituencies highly desirable.
