Associate Customer Engineer

 Required Knowledge and Experience Demonstrated capabilities to provide technical support demonstrated capability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction; ability to routinely lift, pull or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.  Good communication skills, both written and verbal.  ASEET or equivalent 0-1 year related experience. Requires a driver’s license and may require a current passport. Flexibility to work on shifts/overtime/stand-by/on-call/holidays when required. Responsibilities Performs Tier I procedures and preventative maintenance and wet-cleans, seeking assistance when needed. Assists senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed. Disassembles, cleans and rebuilds kits as part of kit management quality. Learns and applies basic diagnostic techniques and the use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers. Able to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.Strives to perform established BKMs (best known methods). Follows all IP guidelines. Develops the ability to represent Applied Materials to the customer. Uses good customer service skills at all times while maintaining a professional demeanor. Displays respect for the customer by maintaining an orderly work area. Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value. WORKING CONDITIONS:May be exposed to cramped work space, mechanical, electrical, and/or chemical hazards.  Requires attentiveness to safety precautions at all times. Occasionally required to work rapidly for prolonged periods of time; will routinely bend, stoop, reach and walk. Will be required to work overtime and/or travel on short notice, including unscheduled call-in from home and work other shifts as required.
