This opportunity is with one of the nations most reputable and prominent engineering firms.  In these positions you will work on some the most stimulating, rewarding and visible projects in the world.  These are large scale, fast paced projects including Hotels/Casinos; Condominiums/Townhouses; Office Buildings; Sports & Entertainment Centers; Convention Centers; Theaters & Concert Halls.

 



Responsibilities

This position is a opportunity to move into a principle/directors position within 1 year with mentoring and developing engineers along with the following reponsibilities:

 

Manages Design Development and Construction Document phases.

 

Designs moderate sized complex projects and elements of large complex multi-material projects in conjunction with Associates or Associate Principals, under the direction of the Principal in Charge. 

 

Produces three-dimensional dynamic models for large buildings and interprets the results of those models. 

 

Works in conjunction with drafting staff to produce contract documents. 

 

Provides construction phase services.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum 4 year degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis

Licensed as a Professional Engineer

 

Experience with IBC or UBC

 

Experience using and interpreting results from RISA, RAM, SAFE, and ETABS or similar programs is required

 

Must be able to design structural systems in multiple materials and direct production of contract documents for those systems. 

 

Must be able to interact with Architects and Designers and respond to design and field issues as they arise.
