Candidateswill participate in search efforts that will assess the novelty of varioustechnologies and gain exposure to business and patent issues. The work involvesmanual searches of patents and literature, analysis of search findings, and generationof reports. The candidate will also work on worldwide technology maps andassess the opportunity space and emerging technical directions in the medicaldevice field. Candidate will play an instrumental role in discussions withclient on novelty of new technologies therefore good communication skills areessential.




Theentry-level position is ideal for candidates who have a strong interest incutting edge technologies and strategic issues facing the medical deviceindustries and would like exposure to product development, IP (intellectualproperty), business development and strategy. Some travel is required.




Requirements




The position requires strong technical analysis skills anddemonstrated ability to meet goals.

• Degree in BiomedicalEngineering, or related discipline from a leading school

  • Excellent research andwriting skills

  • Computer proficiency

  • Ability to grasp andinterpret new, unfamiliar information quickly

  • Attention to detail andgood communication skills
