RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate will perform I&C design projects work including security systems, P&ID development, control strategy development, general instrumentation and control system design primarily for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Other duties will include attending client meetings, training and mentoring junior staff, performing some ancillary electrical design, assisting with construction activities such as shop drawing reviews, attending factory and onsite tests, and assisting with inspections, coordinating with other disciplines both within and external to the Firm, assisting the group leader with various marketing and business development pursuits, assisting the group leader with day-to-day activities related to the group as needed.

Candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills within the design and applications programming department teams. A desire to advance as well as the capability to work independently on project assignments of medium complexity is essential. Position is part of a diverse team, and successful candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate ideas, build consensus with other team members, and to lead staff in conceptualizing and producing automation designs.

REQUIREMENTS

B.S. electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering degree required; M.S. degree preferred.
4 to 8 years relevant work experience in electrical and instrumentation system designs is required.
Control system programming and startup experience desired.
Electrical P.E. license for state of California preferred; E.I.T. required.
Solid technical writing, oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills required. Previous experience functioning as a project manager or team leader desired.
