 Responsible for the design and production of bridge design documents.  Work alongside our experienced bridge design team in our Alexandria, Richmond, or Raleigh offices.   Lead design efforts for sections of projects.  This position requires highly motivated and energetic individuals.JOB DUTIESLead structural design and analysis for aspects bridge structures utilizing computer programs and manual computations in accordance with accepted bridge design practice and design specifications and guidelines Perform geometric layout. Develop structural details for non-standard bridge components.Direct and review production of drawings by CAD technicians. Assist project managers with project administrative activities including document, cost and schedule control, preparation of meeting minutes, and progress reports and invoices.Perform independent checking of structural designs and plans.Prepare technical construction specifications.Other assignments as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires BSCE degree with emphasis in structures.  Must have a P.E. license and between 4 to 10 years bridge design experience.  Proficient in layout and design of non-complex conventional bridge structures.  Experience working with VDOT, MDOT, DDOT, WVDOH, NCDOT, or DelDOT is a plus.
