Bi-Lingual Japanese Account Manager

As a brake systems account manager with Bosch, you will serve as a customer liaison between our Japanese Automotive (JOEM) customers in North American and our internal engineering, program management, quality and manufacturing functions responsible for brake foundation and actuation products (calipers, rotors, drum brakes, park brakes, and master cylinders/boosters). The selected candidate will work to develop and maintain relationships with JOEM customers, acquire new business, and commercially manage awarded business. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identify new business opportunities;  Develop a business acquisition strategy for JOEM targeted programs; Assist in choosing existing and/or development of appropriate products to meet customer needs; Track and report on status of open issues and follow-up through resolution; Resolve customer issues, maintain customer satisfaction; Moderate travel to customer in North America required; Quarterly trips for one week at a time to Japan are required. Minimum Requirements Includes: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business. 3+ yrs. of experience in engineering and/or sales account management of automotive component products. Fluent in reading/writing and speaking both Japanese and English is a must. Skilled in contract negotiation, business acquisition and relationship building. Experience working for or dealing directly with a Japanese Automotive Supplier or Original Equipment Manufacturer (JOEM) required. Experience with brake actuation, foundation, modulation or related chassis products is a plus. Experience leading cross-functional project teams, developing business strategy and coordination of global account activities are highly desired.
