CAD Technician/GIS Operator
Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplinary firm of consulting environmental scientists and engineers with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking an entry level CAD Technician/GIS operator to join our Boise, Idaho, office and become an integral member of our team.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain geospatial data and operate GIS and AutoCAD software. Prepare high-quality map products for reports, field trips, and presentations.
Experience:
1-3 years’ experience in AutoCAD and ESRI ArcGIS map preparation and production. Previous consulting experience a plus.
Skills Requirements:
Strong GIS and AutoCAD skills, including experience collecting, managing, and analyzing spatial data. Experience applying GIS principles, design and production methods for conducting spatial analysis, developing and managing databases, initiating data conversions, and producing quality map products. Should have good working knowledge of PC-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and possess strong problem solving, time management, and written/verbal communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Access database design and Trimble GPS data collection and processing a plus.
Degree Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Computer Science or related field.
