They serve key customers in a number of industry segments including; oil and gas, chemical, pipelines, petrochemical, refineries, LNG, steel mills, pharmaceutical, machine-building, and power generation. We have been retained to recruit a Director, Downstream Business Segment to be located in Houston, TX. This is a highly strategic highly visible role with global responsibility for the growth and direction of the Downstream Business Segment. The qualified individual will report to the company President and will demonstrate the drive for growth and success within the business segment.  Primary Responsibilities:·  Direct and indirect management of the sales, applications, and systems & field engineering functions.·  Manage P&L for the business segment and work with functional leaders to meet stated goals.·  Planning and scheduling segment workload.·  Review and analysis of costs, forecast date for progress determination toward set goals and objectives. ·  Develop short and long term goals within the business segment. ·  Leadership of strategic planning and marketing and product development. ·  Customer management, technical and financial problem solving.  Ideal Candidate:·  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.S.E); MBA preferred.·  5+ years’ international management experience managing a minimum of $25M LOB. Refinery, Petrochemical or Pipeline industries preferred.·  Familiarity with turbomachinery is desired. ·  Prior experience with design and delivery of business and/or product strategy, including P&L accountability. ·  Proven ability to identify, analyze and effectively execute strategic business development opportunities. ·  Must be able to effectively present information to customers, management and co-workers. ·  Must be willing to travel on a consistent basis, including international. ·  Bilingual/multilingual preferred.
