CIVIL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER IN LAND DEVELOPMENT

The Fairfax, West Virginia office of Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. has an opportunity for a Project Manager.

 

The candidate must have these basic qualifications/requirements:

· Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

· PE (or ability to obtain registration within 6 months)

· 8 years experience with a Civil Engineering Firm or Land development contractor

· Desire to work in land development

· EIT

· Excellent written and communication skills required for dealing with clients and local jurisdictions

· Strong CADD skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· DPE in local jurisdictions

· Familiarity with engineering design software (Heastads Methods - Pond Pack, Flowmaster, and WaterCadd)

 

Job Responsibilities:

· Direct a team of Engineers and Technicians to the successful completion of land development projects

· Work on a wide variety of land development projects including, but not limited to, residential, commercial, retail, office, road improvements, public utility extensions and industrial

· Responsible for technical and presentation quality control of the project, preparation of contract amendments, billings and assisting Project Director with collections.

 

Qualified candidate must be experienced with all aspects of site development including:  site layout, grading, subdivision street design, drainage design, stormwater management design, water system design, sanitary sewer design, and two phase erosion and sediment control plans.  The candidate will report to the Project Director or Sr. Project Manager for assignment of projects.
