CM/DM Manager

Position Description:
This individual will provide senior CM/DM leadership in support of all programs in various stages of maturity. In this capacity, the individual will be responsible for ensuring that the program configuration management contractual requirements are met and will be the primary interface with customers in all configuration management/data management issues.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring proper execution of program configuration management activities such as establishment and management the program Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawing tree, managing daily change traffic against program documentation, supporting or leading physical and functional configuration audits, administration of change control boards, and flow down of subcontract configuration and data management requirements. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all customer-required data management activities with an emphasis on Contractor Data Requirement Lists (CDRL''''s), flow down to subcontractors via Subcontractor Data Requirement Lists (SDRL''''s) and general management of all contractual data management requirements.

In support of these primary objectives, this individual will focus on program level configuration management execution activities, leading CM/DM personnel and program personnel in support, guidance and execution of these activities and arbitrating conflict internally and externally (customer/subcontractors) with respect to program CM/DM issues. In addition, this individual will support division wide CM/DM process improvement initiatives at the direction of management


Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

*Manage work activity and the work load in the CM/DM department in support of the companies overall objectives.

*Implement/maintain efficient and effective processes to manage ECOs and ECPs in support of the overall product life cycle.

*Champion continual process improvement within the CM/DM department.

Experience Requirements:
*B.S. or B.A degree, preferably in Engineering or in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years of CM/DM work experience.

*Proven hands on experience in providing senior level program management CM/DM support in an aerospace environment. The selected candidate must be well versed in CM/DM best practices (Configuration Management Standards such as MIL-STD-973 and/or MIL-HDBK-61), and be able to communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors and internal project personnel on all CM matters.

*The selected candidate must have related supervisory experience and experience in establishing and managing program configuration management activities. Must have excellent organization skills, be very detail orientated, be able to work independently with little to no supervision and possess good judgment and leadership skills.

*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build teamwork across multiple functional areas is required. Must be able to work under schedule and cost constrained conditions.

*Must be a self-starter and able to work (at times) in ambiguous, schedule aggressive, stressful situations.

*Experience managing configuration management requirements across multiple locations (i.e. sub-contractors, prime contractor, partners) is desired.

*Selected candidate must also have experience working with Product Data Management tools.

*Willingness to travel as required.

*Good organizational skills.

*Experience with implementation and support of CMMI processes would be helpful.

*US Citizenship.

*Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
