CMP Process Engineer

Atmel is currently looking for a CMP Development Engineer for it's Colorado Springs, CO site.

Develops, implements, and maintains effective process control to ensure prompt and reliable integrated circuit fabrication. Responsible for equipment and material evaluations and purchase recommendations. Participate in planning and executing technical projects. Design, coordinate, and perform experiments to improve manufacturing techniques and develop new processes. Integrate, analyze, summarize and document project results and assist in integrating the results with other project members. Communicate regularly with management and other functional groups within Atmel to ensure understanding of needs/problems in relation to the process engineering function. Establish and document equipment operating specifications. Provide training and technical work direction to any technical support personnel assigned to his/her project. Prepare and present reports to management. Analyze, prepare and present equipment purchase recommendations. Interact with other technical groups throughout Atmel and elsewhere to exchange technical information and remain abreast of new developments in the field.

BSEE is required; 5 - 8 years directly related experience as a CMP Process Engineer.  Overall knowledge of engineering to sustain, troubleshoot, modify, improve and develop integrated circuit manufacturing processes. Knowledge of CMP is required. Knowledge and ability to use computer tools such as COMETS, RS1, Excel, Word, Acme, and statistical analysis software.
