CONTRACT Manufacturing Engineer

General Summary: Contract Position. Provide Manufacturing engineering support and process improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

w  Create and maintain documents and/or databases using independent judgment.  Such activities vary from clerical, to editorial, to creative; e.g. creation/revision of APQP documentation, MI, PI, SOP, etc.

w  Develop, maintain and revise assigned tasks including line change decisions, process design and project management.  Tasks assigned monthly or yearly are evaluated at predetermined set points weekly, monthly, etc.

w  Lead for large-scale capital projects.

w  May assist in audit responsibilities within the plant.

w  Lead Scrap, effectiveness, and cycle time improvement teams.

w  Lead CAR/ESAR teams

w  Acts as a back up for management as needed.

w  May provide work to clerical support or unskilled labor at the Clerk 2 to Clerk 3 level including temporarily assigned Skill Based Pay employees.

Job Specifications:

Ability:

Basic computer systems, PLC and hand tools.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
