Chemical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer with Process Systems and Chemical Manufacturing Experience

A global environmental company, located in Plymouth, Michigan, is currently seeking a Chemical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in chemical process systems and manufacturing equipment.  This person will need to have a thorough understanding of process instrumentation and flow diagrams.  The candidate must have a good sales presence and have the ability to gain people's confidence, as the position requires sales support regarding customer presentations addressing the details and technical aspects of a project.

 

Responsibilities include:

 Evaluate customer request for quote and evaluate viable technical solutions. Coordinate input from product managers to determine accurate project details.  Perform process engineering during post-contract phase. Develop P&ID. Estimate scope, cost. Manage subcontractor quotes - review site, develop scope, review and evaluate quotes in order to generate a proposal.

 

Requirements:

 

Organizational and communication/writing skills.

5-8 years experience, preferably in a process environment.

Strong time management skills.

Technical knowledge of system components desirable - burners, fans, general air handling, etc.
