Chemical/Mechanical Engineer
Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), a national leader in scientific and engineering research and development, has an immediate position for an entry level and motivated engineer to join our growing research and development team at our location in Panama City, FL. The successful candidate will have a BS degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. The candidate must have demonstrated abilities to conduct research and development projects with minimal supervision and have experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of bench-scale prototype test apparatus. Preferred qualifications emphasize hands-on experience in developing portable mechanical devices involving high-temperature, high-pressure process conditions, compression fittings, on-line sensors, and system integration and testing. Excellent teamwork, communications, and technical writing skills are a must. Experiences in AutoCad, SolidWorks, SIMULINK, and/or MATLAB will be a plus. US citizenship and the ability to obtain National Security Clearance are required.
