The Houston Office of Michael Baker Jr., Inc. employs a diversified staff of  professionals experienced in engineering design for the transportation and civil infrastructure markets.  Baker-Houston provides services which include environmental clearance and project development, mapping and GIS, water resources, transportation engineering design and management, and facilities.  Major clients include: Texas Department of Transportation, Grand Parkway Association, City of Houston, Harris County, Federal Emergency Management Administration, Metropolitan Transit Authority and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Qualifications for the Civil Associate I include four-year Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree, with strong background in hydrology and hydraulic analyses, and GIS applications to Water Resources.  0-2 years related experience required.

Knowledge of flood plain modeling and delineation, flood insurance study, drainage design, drainage impact analysis, Digital Terrain Analysis, ArcView, and ESRI Products are desirable.  Proficiency in HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS with advanced degree and EIT certification, are pluses.
