HNTB's Bellevue Office has one of the most dynamic and growing aviation engineering practices in the firm, and nationwide. Our projects include work at some of the most visible airports in the country, as well as at airports slated for large growth in the next few years. Airports throughout the Northwest and the nation turn to HNTB's Bellevue office aviation staff for expert advice and excellent design services. We are looking for engineers with the desire to learn or expand their aviation engineering experience in a growing, exciting, challenging and professional environment in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation of general civil engineering principles, strong communication skills (verbal and written), and a general understanding of civil design, construction documents, and construction processes, as well an interest in airport and/or roadway design projects at medium and large airports. The candidate should be able to organize, schedule, and prioritize assignments and tasks that may be assigned. Duties will cover a wide variety of civil engineering tasks supporting airfield, landside, and terminal airport projects as well as coordination with other disciplines. The successful candidate will have experience with roadway and/or airfield layout and design experience, grading design, utility layout design, storm drainage design, quantity take-offs, earthwork estimates and familiarity with technical specifications and/or bid document preparation.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering plus up 2 years experience, preferably in civil engineering consulting, municipal, DOT, and/or construction engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license required. AutoCAD and/or Microstation required and experience with InRoads, and/or LDD, MS Excel and MS Project preferred.
