Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.CH2M HILL’s Corvallis design center is seeking immediate fulfillment of a Civil CAD Technician.In this position you will be required to: • Perform lay out and detail for civil details, site plans, grading and drainage plans, vicinity maps, road alignments, traffic signage and maintenance of traffic plans and details, ground profiles and cross-sections, pipeline plans and profiles. • Understand and appropriately apply principles governing site grading and drainage, highway construction and pipeline construction. • Create civil plans and details using minimal information, sketches, and examples by civil leads. • Produce work in 3D Microstation or INROADS and develop profiles and/or cross-sections from 3D terrain models. • Properly generating 2D plans, sections, and details by extractions from 3D models. • Ensures work products are accurate and are complete to the required level of completion. • Function as the lead civil technician for small, less complex projects or may assist the lead civil technician on larger, more complex projects.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Two-year degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field; or NICET certification and 4 years directly related experience. Demonstrates prior experience or education in basic CAD operations, such as: the knowledge of accepted rules for proper dimensioning; the proper use of line-weights to enhance readability; proper drawing arrangement and presentation techniques for engineering documents; the techniques and proper use of orthographic projection.
