David Evans and Associates, Inc. Responsibilities:

This individual will lead the development and management efforts for DEA's water projects for the Southwest Region. This leader will be responsible for preparing and executing a business plan for the company's Water Resources market, as well as building upon the current water practice. This person will be an integral part of the group's senior management structure and will be responsible for business development, client service, project management, and supervision of staff. The Water Resources Business Leader will work closely with DEA's Corporate Water Business Line Leader in order to collaborate and leverage DEA's resources in order to capture major water business line projects and take DEA to the next level in Arizona.

 

Specific responsibilities will include: establishing and maintaining excellent relationships between our clients and the company; selling the services offered by the company to new, existing, and past clients; identifying clients' future needs and securing the resources required to meet them; monitoring the work performed during the project and assuring that both productivity goals and schedules are met; assuring that the services provided are responsive and in accordance with the project budgets and schedules; participating in project organization and maintaining favorable project team relationships; evaluating project status, planning project activities, and measuring progress toward project performance goals; negotiating agreements with clients which are favorable to both the company and its clients; staying current with the trends and practices by participating in DEA's Water Business Line activities and external societies/associations.

 

Qualifications:

● Over 10 years of demonstrated expertise in Water Resources/Environmental with a record of outstanding achievements
● Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field
● Knowledge of current trends and practices in Water Resources, particularly in Arizona
● Established relationships/networks with public agencies and individuals in Arizona's Water Resources market
● Ability to plan and execute strategic objectives, support work plans, and make sound recommendations on complex issues
● An effective mentor, counselor and coach
● Ability to attract and hire outstanding leaders and staff
