Civil-Geotechnical Engineer

MS in Geotechnical Engineering with minimum 2 years experience. EIT with ability to obtain PE. Minimum 1 year of boring inspection experience. Experience with LRFD design procedures, especially for bridge substructures and retaining walls. Experience with geotechnical software, including LPILE, PCSTABL, GRLWEAP, CRSP, SNAIL, etc. Proficient in Microstation, Word and Excel. Job Description : Performs field inspection of subsurface investigations including test borings and geophysical testing, prepares boring logs, and oversees laboratory testing of soil and rock samples to determine geotechnical design properties. Develops subsurface exploration programs primarily for transportation projects. Interprets field and laboratory test data and prepares geotechnical engineering computations for embankments and cut slopes. Prepares foundation design computations and develops foundation recommendations for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, soundwalls, and sign structures.
