We currently seek a Commodity Manager to be based out of Fort Myers, Florida facility.  In this role you will own the development and implementation of a strategy for a commodity or group of commodities.  You will be responsible for all aspects of strategic sourcing and supply within a team.  The successful candidate will be skilled in the sourcing and supply of products from a portfolio of Suppliers, requiring “Total Supplier Ownership”.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

 Leads sourcing projectsManaging all issues arising in relation to suppliers (i.e., productivity, on-time delivery, quality, inventory reduction, dispute resolution) in line with Corporate sourcing requirements and standards.  Develop and maintain a cohesive and logical supply chain strategy for the commodity covering aspects such as number of suppliers, potential location of suppliers (global or local), key selection criteria and appropriate relationships.Participates in other Sourcing exercises that may arise. Monitors and evaluates supplier performance and aligns corrective actions as required. Maximizes 3P&L score for responsible commodity.Develops a preferred supply base in order to leverage Pall’s spend.Ensure suppliers within responsible commodity meet QDC (Quality, Delivery, and Cost) requirements.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience.5+ years of commodity management experience and/or purchasing experience procuring a wide range of commodities preferably in a manufacturing environment.  Understand the spend profile for the relevant commodities, (values, volumes, suppliers, sites etc), now and in the future.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule formProven skill in negotiation and contracting with suppliersAble to develop requests for proposals.Must possess a solid understanding of Material Planning Requirements (MPR) systemsWorking knowledge of Microsoft: PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Word.Knowledge and experience in development of foreign sources preferred.Has a solid understanding of purchasing “best practice” including but lot limited to – Supplier PULL systems, VMI, Supplier assessment and Vendor rating including supplier performance reviewsTravel as required – about 25%
