For more information on our locations please see http://www.chevron.com/operations Qualifications:Position Overview:A Completions Engineers create fit-for-purpose completion designs for offshore, deepwater, and land wells, conduct risk assessments, and estimate probabilistic costs. They are also responsible for initial well completion, workovers, well intervention, and appraisal well testing. Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Modeles completion performance • Performs stimulation technologies (for ex: acidizing, fracturing, water shutoff) based on well and reservoir diagnostics • Designs and installs sand control applications (for ex:gravel packing, frac packing, consolidation, expandable or mesh rite screens) • Optimizes completion and workover designs and operations • Designs intelligent completions for horizontal and multilateral wells • Determines primary and remedial cementing procedures along with the design and installation of tubulars, packers, subsurface control and surveillance equipment • Evaluates and selects appropriate equipment to achieve completion objectives • Designs through tubing/concentric workovers and intelligent completions • Prepares cost estimates and risk in terms of probability and potential remedies NOTE: Resumes submitted in response to this job opening may be reviewed and processed for Chevron by independent service partners.Required Basic Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED• Demonstrated experience in completion engineering, well testing, time/cost estimating, and writing of completion programs. • Works well with others in a mutli-functional team environment. • Strong network capability and desire to seek the best solution and practices. • Actively shares Best Practices and lessons learned.• Good organizational and engineering /analytical skills. • Contributes to building an inclusive work environment.
