Controls Engineer- Automation Systems Engineer – Bridgeton, MO

Applied Technologies currently has an opportunity in our Bridgeton, MO branch office for a Controls Engineer. Qualified candidates should possess a B.S./M.S. degree in electrical engineering or computer science and have in-depth knowledge of and application experience with various control systems.  Experience with part inspection, error proofing applications, vision integration with robotic systems, and others are preferred.  Specific knowledge of manufacturing sectors such as consumer products and automotive are a definite plus. The team member we are looking for must be independent, flexible and a self-starter. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Job Requirements:

 

B.S./M.S. degree in electrical engineering or computer science. Control Systems designPLC / HMI programmingSystem analysis including hardware and software specification.Specific knowledge of manufacturing sectors such as consumer products and automotive are a definite plus. Research potential solutions; get appropriate pricing, and arrange orders and deliveries for projects.Must have the availability to handle projects from concept through startup.Ability to analyze root cause of problems (technical and non technical). Communicate solutions clearly and concisely to AT and customer teams.Must be independent, flexible, a self-starter, and be able to manage projects and timelines. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
