Design Engineer

SPX Flow Controls has gained strong brands and market leadership positions by investing in technology, talent, and aftermarket support services.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)1.  Identify and issues part numbers for new and/or existing products as required.2.  Prepare production drawings and specifications for the valve, pump and specialty focus factories using the CAD system.3.  Revise existing drawings as required per engineering change requests / orders.4.  Backup the processing of engineering blueprints for production work orders, sales and purchasing departments.5.  Issue and keep updated product master and structure information, identify proper routing procedures.6.  Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE1.  BSME or equivalent2.  7+ years of functional design experience3.  repair and re-manufacture valves experience under requirements of the oil, gas, pipeline and storage environment4.  experience with API 5A and 6D5.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  6.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.7.  Ability to operate, efficiently, a personal computer, printer, phone system, calculator, fax and copy machine.8.  Ability to operate the Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) system currently in use by department.9.  Ability to type, file and perform other  skills to support the department PHYSICAL DEMANDSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the principal accountabilities. WORKING CONDITIONSA normal office working and manufacturing environment.
