Design Engineering Manager to $110K+

World Class manufacturer of metal stamping and medical components is seeking a Design Engineering Manager. Our client has experienced significant growth, adding personnel, plant expansion, and purchasing plant facilities out of state.

 

Responsibilities:

*Implement systems that will significantly reduce design time & improve accuracy of design output and meet expected deliveries & cost requirements.

*Define the design process that will standardize the output for design companywide

*Align the responsibilities of Design group defined in the APQP process to assist in approving the overall APQP process, as measured by on time, on budget and yielding a six sigma process.

*Implement and execute design continuous improvement tactics as measured against delivery, cost and quality

*Hands on design as required to support company objectives/customer requests

*Work with sales department to meet customer requirements

*Meet & interface with customers on an as needed basis

*Conduct research for better tools to increase efficiency and quality and measure results

*Develop outside vendors (Globally) to increase the capacity of the Design group

 

Required:

*Bachelors Degree, heavy emphasis placed on statistical analysis & Six Sigma process

*Experience using engineering tools for process analysis, i.e. FMEA’s, process flow charts, SPC, etc…

*Able to write reports, procedure manuals, and business correspondence

*Able to make effective presentations to groups; clients, managers, and general public

*Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, etc…

*Possess good skills using AutoCad and Inventor Design software and MSOffice
