Members of this team have a unique opportunity to develop skills in business and commercial issues.Qualifications:RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:• Integrating 3D seismic interpretation with extensive well information and production data to identify new drill and workover opportunities. • Decision modeling.• Project management.• Partner management.• Evaluation of outside opportunities and negotiations.• Prospect/opportunity identification and maturation.• Unix-base 3D interpretation.• Reservoir management – clastic reservoir mapping, modeling and characterization.• Volumetric, reserve and risk assessment.• Formation evaluation and planning for and managing reservoir surveillance programs.• New well, sidetrack and workover planning.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have:• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or directly related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:• Familiarity with exploration and development geology work processes. • Experience with Reservoir management – clastic reservoir mapping, modeling and characterization.• Understanding of the key processes comprising the upstream value chain including leasing, prospect generation and maturation, exploratory drilling, delineation, and production.• Knowledge of Unix-based workstation interpretation systems and applications, especially for 3D seismic interpretation and earth modeling.This is a safety sensitive position.NOTE: Resumes submitted in response to this job opening may be reviewed and processed for Chevron by independent service partners.Chevron is continuously seeking qualified applicants for these positions in many geographic locations.
