Director, IP Licensing CA3415

A highly visible position that reports directly to the VP of Marketing.  Responsible for growing and managing the corporate IP licensing business.  Will pro actively market the company's IP product portfolio.  Will conduct market and technology analysis and develop strategies and business plans.  Duties include working closely with existing and potential new customers to increase business, build relationships and resolve issues and develop and track opportunities.  Create and maintain marketing and sales collateral and conduct customer presentations.  Manage the evaluation of opportunities including market, technology, competitive and financial assessments.  Responsible for directing the efforts of cross-functional teams, which may include representatives from marketing, finance, engineering, legal and other functional representatives.  Will negotiate agreements of reasonable complexity and importance to company.  Ensure thorough and timely drafting, review and modification of agreement drafts.  Development of materials required to gain negotiating and execution authorization.  Present these materials, as appropriate, to senior management, operating committees and/or the Executive Committee.  Ensure that other functional areas are made aware of key agreement terms and prepared for successful implementation of agreements.  10 years experience working in the semiconductor or other technical manufacturing area. Previous IP licensing sales or marketing experience.
