Director, IP Product Development

Location(s): SAN JOSE CA



This position reports to Corporate VP of Enterprise Solutions who reports to CEO.

Our Enterprise Solutions Development team is seeking an outstanding leader to spear head the effort of designing and implementing 'best-in-class' high-speed serial connectivity solutions.

In this role, you will lead a large, multiple-site team of Intellectual Property (IP) engineers in the design of complex Intellectual Property cores and system-level solutions. You will be responsible for the cross-functional partnership with the Product Planning, Marketing, Software, and Applications groups to define and develop future, high quality IP products for our FPGA customers.

Accountabilities:
' Deliver quality PCI Express design and protocol for Gen1, Gen2 and beyond.
' Work with the leadership team to define and plan Lattice's new FPGA products.
' Work with various functional areas to define, develop, and deliver solutions to Lattice's customers.
' Lead, build and retain an outstanding team of top talent in the IP organization.
' Build and foster long-term partnerships with customers to ensure a deep understanding of their product needs and expectations.
' Partner with Marketing to specify and communicate future IP products and new product enhancements.
' Build strong partnerships and work cross-functionally with product planning, software, applications, and marketing teams.
' Manage and lead all IP projects and schedules. Develop product rollout plans, create and generate resource charts, schedule timelines, etc.
' Solicit critical input and feedback on Lattice products from customers to enable the IP team to continue to build future leading edge IP products.

Qualifications:
' BSEE (MSEE a plus) with a minimum of eight years industry experience.
' Five years of managing large (25+) design engineering teams with a proven record of technical problem solving and managing multiple, complex projects.
' Direct, hands-on experience in the design of software and/or hardware in any of the following areas: embedded systems, communications, signal processing, wireless, video.
' Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
' Superior people management and project management skills.
