Director of Sales

DIRECTOR OF SALES, Endicott House, to assume overall responsibility for the entire sales and marketing operation, including budgets, forecasts, business plans, and the supervision of a sales manager and sales assistant. Additional responsibilities include hiring, training, managing, and coaching sales staff. Will develop and implement new strategies and action plans for business segments and provide input to the general manager regarding advertising, sales goals, and plans that support the overall business; take an active role in developing a client base to maximize DMP, CMP, and catering revenue by practicing a variety of proven sales techniques including cold calls, sales blitzes, letters, site inspections, and marketing to professional meeting planners; and function as a team member with conference planning and other staff to effectively plan and communicate the expressed needs of the customer. Will also function as a member of the hotel executive committee.

REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree and/or requisite industry and management experience and a minimum of five years' experience in hotel sales and marketing or related field. Seek a self-driven, motivated hotel professional with a proactive mindset who is able to anticipate and support changes in business processes. Position requires the ability to exercise considerable managerial skills. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain composure and make quick decisions, and superior oral and written communication abilities. Should be able to work independently and be extremely organized. Excellent overall computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office package needed.
