A large and expanding fortune 50 industry leading company has an immediate and critical need for an Electrical Engineer at their headquarters in Ohio.  The company has operations throughout the world and are seeking the best talent available to help spear head their innovative electrical engineering activities in PLC’s and Drives as related to the automated metal industry.   Electrical Engineer Global Engineering and Manufacturing Technology has the responsibility for inventing, designing, and delivering product and process technologies to make the company’s Business Strategies achievable. This department engineers and integrates new technologies to support new products and increased manufacturing capability. It also provides direct and timely support to plant production, engineering, maintenance and energy conservation. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the electrical design, development, and installation of equipment in the company’s facilities, specifically in the component preparation area. Here, machinery includes fabric and wire calendars, bead making machines, slitters, wire and fabric shears and cutters, off-line preassembly equipment, and extrusion lines. All elements of automation and control systems are used, including programmable controllers, servo controls, pneumatics, embedded computer applications, and robotics. Projects require hardware and software design, testing, installation, and start-up for all plants globally. An ability to successfully work within a team environment will come into play as you work closely with Corporate Plant Planning and the regional engineers during the project scope development phases. Required: a B.S. (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, experience with AUTO-CAD, PLCs, drives, software and hardware design and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (travels averages about 20%).
