ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Environmental Engineering Position Tetra Tech, Inc. Collinsville, IL Location   Tetra Tech, Inc., a world-wide environmental and engineering firm, is seeking environmental engineers with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our environmental regulatory reporting and permitting team serving both industrial and government clients. The successful candidate will have a degree in civil or environmental engineering, be familiar with environmental reporting requirements and have 2-5 years of experience preparing the following types of reports or permits:   Annual air emission reports SARA 312 reports SARA 313 reports Annual Hazardous Waste Activity Reports Air Emission Permits NPDES Stormwater Permits NPDES Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) Annual NPDES SWPPP Reports Hazardous Waste Disposal Facility Acceptance Applications (Waste Profiles)   EIT and environmental site assessment/auditing experience, knowledge of waste treatment technologies and environmental system conceptual design experience a plus.   The position is located in Collinsville, IL but may require about 20% travel to clients in other locations throughout the US.   The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employeeencounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability and skills to efficiently work in front of a computer workstation for considerable periods of time. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The employee is rarely exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.   Employee will be expected to drive either a company car, rental car or his/her own car in the course of performing their job.  They are typically expected to drive up to four times a month.  Employee must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle, including use of eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet.  Employee must be able to prove that he/she has a current, valid driver’s license with no restrictions.     Compensation is competitive and commensurate with documented experience.   To qualify for the position, please e-mail your resume to Ms. Jeana Swift at jeana.swift@tetratech.com
