Job Scope:  Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.  This position will support the Customs Design/Production team.  The candidate will be responsible for design, development, and build duties directly related to customer requirements. This includes development of testing processes, write procedures, train and assist technicians in test and troubleshooting, and provide leadership in new product development for Custom Engineering.

Additionally, the candidate will have the ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors; demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions; interact with senior internal and external personnel; normally receive little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions or new assignments.



Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in both analog and digital electronics and testing

Experience with analog and digital circuitry utilizing discrete components, analog and digital ICs, FPGAs, embedded processors, and DSP’s required.

Experience with oscilloscope, DMM, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, function generators, frequency counters, etc.

Working understanding of printed circuit board assembly and manufacturing.

Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Access (PADS Logic and Layout a plus)

Must be extremely analytical and diligent in approach and documenting work, as well as evaluating every aspect of the job. 

Must be a well seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices, company policies and procedures.

Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
