We have a couple of Engineer (Electrical/Hardware) positions with a company located in Rochester/Sterling Heights, MI. I have included the position details below for your review. Engineer-Hardware (Military)
Lead and/or support development of hardware systems design and requirements.
Experience with military electronics desired.
Design and develop new state of the art military vehicle hardware.
Design, develop, build, and test electronic brassboard hardware.
Write test requirements, procedures, reports, and perform tests in the laboratory and in vehicles as required.
Gather technical information, analyze technical problems, develop technical solutions, and implement technical solutions.
Conduct and participate in peer reviews of schematics and other drawings, specifications, I/O matrices, etc, as required.
Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Other technical degrees will be considered with related experience.
Must have the ability to understand customer requirements and the ability to further incorporate them into hardware concepts.
Must have experience in development of sub-systems and hardware lower level requirements.
Background in Analog and Digital Circuit Design highly preferred.
Ability to use Engineering Development and Test Tools.
Experience with military electronics/hardware desired.
Able to handle task conflict and ambiguity and work with minimum supervision.
Occasional work in shop, laboratory and manufacturing areas.
Need to be able to get into and out of military ground vehicles (must pass ASR), and be able to carry test equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
Ability to travel via commercial air and ground transportation with occasional out-of-town travel to suppliers/vendors and remote sites.
Able to work a normal work week during normal working hours and overtime upon request to meet critical tasks and/or deadlines.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Qualified in MS Word and Excel.

Engineer-Hardware (Power)

RELEASE ENGINEER
Lead the physical systems integration activities for the FCS MGV Mounted Combat Systems platform. -Design release planning and design verification-Systems integration, issue identification and resolution-Project planning and status reporting-Metrics generation and regular reporting on design release, hardware status and build activities-Interface with the MCS program manager, systems engineering management department and process & innovation department to ensure that program and process needs are met. -Lead problem reporting activity as the corrective action coordinator during build-Monitor, prioritize and approve engineering change requests for implementation-Oversee Bill of Materials management through IPD database-Work directly with physical architecture team and physical architecture lead for refinement of large assembly management techniques and Modular Product ArchitectureThis position reporting currently matrixes to the FCS MGV Mounted Combat System Firing Fixture IPT Lead and the FCS Systems Integration Section Manager.1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline required. Other technical disciplines will be considered with related experience2. Six (6) or more years of related experience required, as a minimum:-Experience with Pro/E Wildfire 2.0, Pro/I 3.4 and Windchill 7.0 PTC products-Modular Product Architecture vision & training-Virtual integration experience with lightweight visualization tools-Systems Engineering experience and training-Prototype build coordination3. Strong Leadership skills coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills4. Ability to work with other departments within GDLS5. Ability to present data effectively to internal and external customer6. Ability to be granted a Government security clearance7. Knowledge of military vehicle systems is highly desired8. Good PC skills, ability in Microsoft applications9. May require some travel, overtime and laboratory work10. Must be a US Citizen, able to obtain and hold a DoD secret clearance
