Electrical Test Technician - Phoenix, AZ

MET/CET, a Linc Facility Company, is the oldest independent electrical testing company in the United States.  MET/CET provides independent certified, third-party testing, engineering and field services.  We have an immediate opening experienced full-time Electrical Field Engineers & Testing Technicians in the Phoenix, AZ area.

FUNCTION

 

Perform reliability testing, preventative maintenance, system inspection/evaluation, troubleshooting and repairs on power distribution systems & equipment including low, medium and high voltage systems in such a manner as to ensure optimal system reliability. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 Perform Inspections, Testing and Maintenance on low, medium and high voltage power distribution equipment.

Strong understanding of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications, NFPA70B and Industry Codes & Standards.

Maintains and repairs various equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers and switchgears.

Read and understand electrical schematics with ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems.

Trained in OSHA Electrical Safety and NFPA70E safety guidelines. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Degreed Electrical Engineer &/or Certified as a NETA or NICET Test Technician, or equivalent Utility, military, manufacturer and AVO Training.

Five or more years of experience in the testing an evaluation of electrical power systems.

Engineering Degree (2 or 4 year) and or technical school graduate and or equivalent military schools & training.

Excellent computer skills
