Position Summary: The Electrician is responsible for repairing, maintaining, testing, programming any of the site electrical systems such as:Power distribution 120 v to 480 volt.Ancillary systems such as security, lighting, emergency power systems, etc.PID controllers, PLCs, instrumentation etc.Network systems including data systems, fiber optic, Ethernet, etc.Lighting systems 277 volt.Essential Job Functions:Ensure all company and Engineering policies and procedures are followed.Ensure all work carried out and equipment installed is safe, effective and in compliance with the appropriate industry standards.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NFPA 70E.Ensure all project work undertaken is reflected accurately in Engineering/project information files and facility drawings.Maintain electrical systems, PLC systems, networks, lighting systems, and other utility systems to assure that they are operating to the required standards.Perform monthly inspection of the emergency lighting systems and exit lights.Provide electronic backup for software systems under control of the electrical group.Perform planned maintenance through the Maximo system.Perform electrical repairs as required by work orders.Perform any other activities as directed by the Electrical lead person or Facility Supervisor.QualificationsEducational/Professional Requirements:"High school diploma."Associates degree preferred."State License preferred."Minimum 5 years experience with 277/480 volt systems."Minimum 5 years experience with phone and data cabling and installation."Fiber Optic certification preferred."Minimum 5 years experience in maintaining electrical equipment e.g. motors, switchgear, PLCs, etc."Minimum 5 years experience with building system such as security, fire alarm, paging system, etc.Skills & Competencies:"Competence"Customer/Quality Focus"Communication
