Symmetricom/Boulder is seeking a software design engineer with 0 to 5 years experience to contribute to continued company growth through new product development.  Symmetricom has introduced several new systems in the last year and continues to design and field new timing systems to serve the growing global time and frequency market. 

Applicant must be comfortable taking responsibility for projects and producing results in a fast-paced environment. Applicant will be joining an established, successful team and will be expected to learn quickly on the job.  Applicant must be able to convey engineering principles and results orally and in writing and work effectively with a variety of engineers in several departments.

Education or background in the following is desired:

Embedded software development using C++Development for Linux, FreeBSD, or other UNIX OSBasic digital circuitsDigital signal processing.

The position requires the ability to interact with prototype hardware and develop original software designs for new products.  Understanding of processors, memories, and RF circuits will be helpful.
