Encapsulated LED Program Manager

Luminus Devices is the worldwide leader in ultra-high power and brightness LEDs. Since the initial launch of the first LED based projection TV in 2006, Luminus’ PhlatLight™ LEDs have revolutionized the micro-display projection market. Now, Luminus is expanding its product offerings into wider markets.

 

Duties / Responsibilities: 

The Encapsulated LED Program Manager is a key leadership position driving next generation product development.  Together with a team of functional managers and engineers, this individual will develop and bring to manufacturing encapsulated large chip LED products.

 

These products will be a key portion of the Luminus Solid State Lighting portfolio.

Program Manager for the new product introduction process for encapsulated large chip LED products,

 

· Develops prototypes based on technology concepts to meet requirements provided by Product Management

· Works closely with internal and external Engineering resources to develop detailed designs and processes compatible with high volume manufacturing

· Conducts product design verification

· Provides a complete set of documentation for production ready designs and processes

· Coordinates the full product qualification

· Creates and tracks program budgets

 

Minimum Qualification Required:

· Masters or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics or a related discipline.

· 5+ years of industry experience with optoelectronic devices and packaging.

· Understanding of optoelectronic package design principles.

· Demonstrated program management and new product introduction experience

· Demonstrated ability to consistently meet commitments in a dynamic environment

· Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership attributes

·  Self motivated and must be able to effectively work within a team environment.

 

Additional Desired Qualification / Experience:

· Master of Business Administration

· Familiarity with lenses, epoxies and opto-mechanical design

·  Silicone encapsulation of HB-LED



·  Transferring products to contract manufacturers
