As an Electrical Engineer with Capella Photonics you will have the opportunity to work on a highly complex and interesting product where your engineering skills will be challenged on a regular basis. As part of a talented team working on the next generation build-out of point-to- point video you will be encouraged to explore your creativity and use your extensive knowledge and experience in circuit design and architecture to develop electronics to improve our industry-leading applications.

As the traffic in optical networks evolves toward IP dominated content driven by the explosion of broadband services, the ability to route, monitor, protect, and maintain optical wavelengths dynamically, remotely, and reliably is essential. Only Capella’s WavePath® Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) with integrated optical channel monitoring (OCM) provides this comprehensive functionality enabling carriers the flexibility and scalability to easily grow their networks while reducing capital and operational expenses associated with planning, deployment, provisioning, and maintenance.

As an electrical engineer with Capella you will have the opportunity to use your extensive experience and knowledge of electrical design and development to take immediate responsibility for testing and troubleshooting circuit design and architecture. Your passion for electrical design combined with your ability to understand controls and signals will ensure that you quickly become a key contributor in developing electronics for use in existing and alternative applications. Your in depth understanding of ROHS will equip you with the knowledge required to assist the Company to reach the next level of implementation while your experience in manufacturing design will enable you to come up with analog electronics and assist with layout. Additionally your creativity and ability to understand highly complex technical issues will ensure that you quickly come up to speed with our products and take ownership of developing electronics for use in existing and alternative applications. An in depth knowledge of schematics, including PADS and ORCAD, combined with experience in the telecoms sector will equip you to complete projects on time and provide valuable input into layout and design.
