Engineer QA - Products

DESCRIPTION:


Perform highly complex quality engineering duties in the development and application of quality tools, methods, and systems that result in continual product quality improvements.  Provide quality engineering support for products, processes, and components across multiple product lines and contract manufacturers’ world wide.  Support operational business objectives including quarterly business reviews, cost/lead-time reduction, and NPI development.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

· Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in engineering, or related field.

· 5+ years of relevant industry experience. 

· Excellent computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of software database and statistical programs.

· Detailed knowledge and experience of ISO 9000 and state of the art quality technologies.Experience in telecommunications, PCBA, or electronics industry is a plus. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Researches, develops, and implements state of the art quality systems, tools, and techniques required to ensure customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and quality prevention. 

· Manages programs of large scope and complexity by leading teams in the design and development of quality requirements, standards and specifications for product, process, component, or materials.

· Key liaison with other COMPANY functions, customers, and suppliers to ensure quality requirements, standards and specifications are defined and complied with through implementation.

· Develops, implements, and maintains all product, process, or material qualification capability and optimization strategies from introduction to the end customer to ensure continuous performance improvements.

· Provides the organization with inputs concerning quality direction.  Provides key input to both short and long range technical planning for the organization.

· Performs advanced statistical analysis of product, process, component, or material data to determine proper direction relative to their optimization.

· Drives corrective action and reviews proposed solutions to problems in a timely manor.

· Directs the efforts of junior engineers or technicians on product, process, component, or material quality requirements and the interpretation and application of COMPANY specifications and industry standards.

· Performs other related duties as required.
