ENGINEER I
Duties:Engineering design, review of plans and specifications, preparation of engineering reports, and other related work as required for water distribution, wastewater collection and treatment facilities.Reviews engineering plans and specifications developed by consultant engineers.Prepares estimates and quotes based on material, equipment and labor take offs.Manages change orders.Coordinates with Department of Public Works, Corps of Engineers, contractors and other utilities concerning location of infrastructure, water lines and services.Performs design, prepares specifications, and assists in project management and coordination for in-house projects.
Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or Engineering Technology in Civil Environmental, Mechanical, or related major in Engineering AND work experience necessary to provide knowledge of design criteria and operational characteristics of water and wastewater facilities.EIT or willingness to obtain required Professional Engineer's Certification preferred but not required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS perferrable.
Compensation:$40,000-60,000 annual salary, DOE
