Engineering Data Technician

Located 30 miles east of Carson City,  Nevada Automotive Test Center - Hodges Transportation is currently recruiting for Engineering Data Technician.

 The primary focus of this position is to assist in tracking, assembling, inputting data, generating and drafting reports and may be required to operate company vehicles in support of test programs.  Assist engineers with test planning and set up as required per program.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Support/assist test plan development 

2.  Operate development and test vehicle on performance and engineering tests.

3.  Test conduct documentation and reporting

4.  Video/photographic support for test conduct

5.  Support/assist final report development

 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Perform tests in the field in extreme temperature and/or environmental conditions.

2.  Assist in special projects.

3.  Operate Company vehicles in support of test operations.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  High School Graduate or Equivalent

2.  Proficient computer skills, to include Microsoft Excel/Word, Database, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes

3.  Handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business needs.

4.  Attention to detail

5.  Strong organizational/time management skills

6.  Ability to lift 75 pounds

7.  Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week with varied work shifts.

8.  Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Nevada Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.

9.  Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

10.  Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.  Knowledge of automotive fundamentals

2.  Strong math skills

3.  Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

4.  Overtime/Nightshifts/Weekend may be required
