Engineering Intern

  Summer Intern   Tetra Tech, a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm in Seattle, has an opening in our Water Resources Program for a summer intern. The position is for a time period from early May until mid-June, 2008.  The candidate should be enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited university.   Candidates must have previous work experience or academic course training in field surveys of creek networks, floodplain mapping, and GIS applications especially with respect to transferring hydraulic modeling results onto CAD or GIS drawings. The successful candidate must have an understanding of hydrology and open channel hydraulics.   The position provides for professional development in computer modeling, GIS applications, floodplain mapping, and watershed and drainage plans. Tetra Tech supports mentoring programs and continuing education to help staff members enhance their proficiency in their areas of expertise.    Tetra Tech is a leader in watershed management and has provided consulting services throughout the Northwest for over 60 years. As a nationwide firm, we provide growth opportunities on challenging projects across the country. Our services span the full spectrum of watershed management, including basin-wide comprehensive plans and the planning, design and construction of surface water control and water quality treatment facilities.   Please respond by emailing your resume to joe.berhorst@tetratech.com. Must be eligible to work in the United States at time of application. No sponsorships or relocation expenses available at this time.
