Chevron Project Resources Company (PRC) is accepting online applications for the position of Engineering Manager GVLA located in Houston, Texas. The Engineering Manager will lead and manage engineering efforts on a growing project team for designing and installing the upstream facilities supporting the Greater Vanza Longui (GVLA) Project in Angola Block 0. The Engineering Manager position is a critical member the project team reporting to the Project Manager and is typically the lead person in the Engineering Office. Experience in working in an Engineering Contractor’s office in a key position is highly desirable. Qualifications:Required Qualifications:•Bachelors Degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.•Major ($1B) international engineering management experience needed. (particularly in less developed countries) •Experience in EPC contracts, including; contracting experience, managing contractor performance against schedule, cost control, management of change, QA/QC and labor/community relations. •Operations and/or construction experience advantageous (Platforms and Pipelines). Knowledge of FEED planning and executions, cost estimating, scheduling, economics, benchmarking, VIPs, CPDEP (Chevron Project Development and Execution Process), contracting (including bidding), and execution.•Must have extensive facilities engineering background in offshore oil and gas facilities, including major capital project experience in CPDEP Phases 2-4. Thorough understanding of FEL and of the work necessary to support Phase 2 decisions. Champions use of Safety in Designs and facility risk assessments. Familiar with brownfield and greenfield scopes of work as well as Contractor Management.•Experience with multiple major engineering contractors. Must have experience formulating bid packages.•Experience in managing multidiscipline engineering teams on offshore oil and gas projects. Must be experienced in establishing team work plans, priorities, roles and responsibilities. Recognized as providing positive team environment where people want to come and work.
