Our client creates solutions for subsea challenges! Their commitment to remain as a leading provider of subsea systems for energy production, from initial concept work through life-of-field support, is reinforced by more than 45 years of experience of design, manufacturing and installation activity worldwide. They are currently looking for an Engineering Process Specialist to work at their office located in the Westchase area of Houston. This would be a direct position with the company.

General Summary:

Under general direction, the Engineering Process Specialist will perform a variety of highly technical tasks and process management duties to expand and refine the company's engineering process capabilities. Responsible for the initial engineering quality process of projects, interfacing with engineering departments regarding quality issues by insuring these flow seamlessly through engineering, planning, supply chain, and manufacturing. May also provide advanced technical guidance to junior staff.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide responses based on root cause analysis for engineering process issues, customer feedback and corrective action requests.
2. Lead process improvement team activities to resolve any engineering process problems and improve efficiency of engineering processes.
3. Analyze engineering process issues and provide root cause analysis and provide recommended corrective actions.
4. Assist internal auditors in identify and correcting problematic areas, of engineering processes which negatively impact the quality of engineering output.
5. Assist in reviewing global procedures and processes relative to local process requirements.

Job Specifications:

1. BS Degree or equivalent experience or Training in Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing process and procedures.
2. 3+ years experience in design and development of procedures and work instructions.
3. 3+ years experience in inspection, evaluation, testing processes and procedures.
4. Knowledgeable in Lean concepts, Data Flow methodology and Internal Quality System auditing principles for ISO 9001:2000 standards.
5. Experience with SAP or ERP Systems
6. Good interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures.
