Entry Level Structural Integrity Engineer

Job Duties
Energo currently has an opening for an entry level structural integrity engineer. The work includes developing structural inspection plans for floating systems (e.g., FPSOs, TLPs, Spars, etc.), conducting structural analysis and assessment for fixed and floating structures, developing repair designs (including underwater repairs) as well as supporting these efforts, as required, in the clients' offices or occasionally offshore. It is a very good position to learn offshore integrity management both with regards to the analytical work and the practical application. As part of the team, the engineer will work side-by-side with senior engineering staff conducting calculations and analysis. The engineer will also be expected to interface with clients during projects as well as assist in the development of written engineering reports.
Job Skills
The candidates’ education must be a B.S. Civil, Mechanical or Ocean Engineering minimum. M.S. or PhD candidates are also encouraged to apply. Any engineering work experience is considered a plus. The candidates skill set must include the following:
v General knowledge of structures, solid mechanics and structural analysis applications
v Solid computer skills that include
o Strong knowledge and experience with Excel, Word and Power Point
o Any experience with engineering software packages such as MathCAD, Matlab and/or finite element structural packages (e.g., ANSYS, SAP, ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, SACS, etc.) would be considered a plus.
v Good communication skills that include
o Ability to develop written reports and power point presentations
o Ability to present calculation and analysis results orally
v Academic and work experiences that indicate
o Ability to take on and solve a wide variety of challenging engineering problems.
o Good interpersonal skills (i.e., able to work as a member of a close-knit engineering team).
