As an Entry Level Transportation Engineer, you will follow prescribed procedures and detailed instructions. With mentoring from top notch senior engineers, you will perform the routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. You will use fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures; and perform specific and limited portions of assigned tasks. Work is reviewed for quality and is part of a mentoring process. Field activities such as sampling and routine testing or observation of activities may be required. Specific responsibilities as a member of a project team may include but are not limited to performing horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations, preparing roadway plans, computer-generated detail drawings and quantities.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil engineering or related discipline is required. Candidate must be a Spring 2008 graduate.Preferred Qualifications: M.S. and EIT preferred. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving skills, effective organizational skills, multitasking ability and excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite).
