Environmental Engineer – Task Manager

 

CDM's Chantilly office has an immediate opportunity for an environmental engineer for project/task management support. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing support for and managing a variety of hazardous waste and civil engineering-related projectsSite investigation, remediation design and implementation, feasibility studies and site assessments, stormwater control and general construction. Project management and technical work supporting designs, studies, and reviews, such as modeling, data evaluation, cost estimating, and report writing.

RequirementsBS degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringE.I.T and 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (can be obtained on the job). A Professional Engineer (PE) license in VA or ability to obtain is also required.4-6 years total experience in areas above with a concentration related to the remediation of hazardous waste sites preferred. Good design/technical support skills and experience on civil/environmental engineering projects. Experience in managing small to medium projects with a multi-disciplined team. Project budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.Experience in federal contracting, (USACE, EPA, DoD) QA/QC and procurement. Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, organization, communication, and technical writing skills.Experience with runoff/urban drainage control models preferredExperience with geologic, hydrogeologic, and analytical data presentation preferred
